The Microchip Technology Inc. 93LCS56/66 are low voltageSerial Electrically Erasable PROMs with memorycapaciTIes of 2K bits/4K bits respecTIvely. A write protectregister is included in order to provide a user definedregion of write protected memory. All memory locaTIonsgreater than or equal to the address placed in the writeprotect register will be protected from any attempted writeor erase operaTIon. It is also possible to protect theaddress in the write protect register permanently by usinga one time only instruction (PRDS). Any attempt to alterdata in a register whose address is equal to or greaterthan the address stored in the protect register will beaborted. Advanced CMOS technology makes this deviceideal for low power non-volatile memory applications.
