The ST750A is an adjustable output CMOS,step-down switching regulator. The ST750Aaccepts inputs between 4V and 11V and delivers450mA. Typical efficiencies are 85% to 96%.Quiescent supply current is 0.8mA and only 0.3mAin shutdown mode. The output does not exhibitfrequency over this specified range. Pulse-widthmodulaTIon (PWM) current-mode control providesprecise output regulaTIon and excellent transientresponses. Output voltage accuracy isguaranteed to be ±4.5% plus feedback resistortolerance over line, load, and temperaturevaraTIons.Fixed-frequency switching and absence ofsubharmonic ruipple allows easy filtering of outputripple and noise, as well as the use of smallexternal components. This regulators require onlya single inductor value to work in mostapplicaTIons, so no inductor design is necessary.Typical applications are: Cellular phones & radios,portable Instruments, Portable CommunicationsEquipments and Computer Peripherals.
