In applying the socalledDiamond structure, the user can obtain an improvedcurrent source with reduced disturbance parameters, as wellas a programmable transconductance independent of temperature.Standard applications for the Diamond currentsource (DCS) can be found in buffers, operational amplifierswith voltage or current feedback, and transconductanceamplifiers. The DCS simplifies the design of electroniccircuits with bandwidths of up to 400MHz and slew rates of3000V/ms with a low supply current of several mA.
