The X40020 combines power-on reset control, watchdogTImer, supply voltage supervision, and secondarysupervision, and manual reset, in one package. ThiscombinaTIon lowers system cost, reduces board spacerequirements, and increases reliability.Applying voltage to VCC acTIvates the power-on resetcircuit which holds RESET/RESET acTIve for a period oftime. This allows the power supply and system oscillatorto stabilize before the processor can execute code.
