The MLX90242 is a CMOS Linear Hall Effectsensor IC. It possesses acTIve error correcTIoncircuitry which virtually eliminates the offseterrors normally associated with analog HallEffect devices.The raTIometric output voltage is proporTIonal tothe supply voltage. When using the supplyvoltage as a reference for an A/D converter,fluctuations of +10% in supply voltage will notaffect accuracy. For a positive slope, the voltageat the output will increase as a South magneticfield is applied to the branded face of theMLX90242. Conversely, the voltage output willdecrease in the presence of a North magneticfield. For a negative slope, the voltage at theoutput will increase as a North magnetic field isapplied to the branded face of the MLX90242.Conversely, the voltage output will decrease inthe presence of a South magnetic field.
