The HI3306 is a 6-bit analog-to-digital converter that iscapable of 15MSPS (Million Samples Per Second). For acomplete technical discussion of the architecture and timingof the converter, please refer to the HI3306 datasheet,available in the Data Acquisition Products Data Book or youcan find it on the world wide web at The HI3306 evaluation board includes a number of featureswhich allow easy use in the lab while providing addedversatility. The board includes an HA5033 unity gain bufferamplifier to be used as an input driver. It can be removedfrom the signal path or even from the board if not needed. Aprototyping area is provided on the board for the addition ofcircuitry such as a voltage reference or alternate input driver.All input/output functions of the HI3306 are accessible eitherthrough a 50 pin edge connect or BNC connectors.
