The IBM43RF0100 Silicon-Germanium (SiGe) HighDynamic Range, Low-Noise Transistor is a discreteheterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) suitable for awide range of RF driver applications includingspread spectrum transceivers, mobile telephones,and portable handsets. The HBT’s high linearity andlow power consumption make it ideal for wirelessdigital applications such as CDMA and TDMA.The IBM43RF0100EV-19 Evaluation Board implementsa wideband CDMA driver amplifier at 1880MHz and provides a convenient means to evaluatethe HBT’s performance in typical CDMA driver applications.Performance characteristics such as gain,SWR, P1dB compression point, adjacent channelpower, and efficiency can be analyzed and evaluated.The evaluation board conforms to the performancecriteria listed in the following table.
