The TC2014, TC2015 and TC2185 are high-accuracy(typically ±0.4%) CMOS upgrades for bipolar low dropoutregulators, such as the LP2980. Total supply currentis typically 55 μA; 20 to 60 TImes lower than inbipolar regulators.The key features of the device include low noise operaTIon(plus bypass reference), low dropout voltage– typically 45 mV for the TC2014, 90 mV for theTC2015, and 140 mV for the TC2185, at full load – andfast response to step changes in load. Supply currentis reduced to 0.5 μA (max) and VOUT falls to zero whenthe shutdown input is low.
