The ACT30 is a high performancegreen-energy offline power supply controller. Itfeatures a scalable driver for driving externalNPN or MOSFET transistors for line voltageswitching. This proprietary architecture enablesmany advanced features to be integrated into asmall package (TO-92 or SOT23-5), resulTIng inlowest total cost soluTIon.The ACT30 design has 6 internal terminalsand is a pulse frequency and width modulaTIon ICwith many flexible packaging opTIons. Onecombination of internal terminals is packaged inthe space-saving TO-92 package (A/B/C/Dversions) for 65kHz or 100kHz switchingfrequency and with 400mA or 800mA current limit.The E version (SOT23-5) can be configured forhigher current limit.Consuming only 0.15W in standby, the ICfeatures over-current, hiccup mode short circuit,and under-voltage protection mechanisms.The ACT30 is ideal for use in highperformance universal adaptors and chargers.For highest performance versus cost andsmallest PCB area, use the ACT30 incombination with the ACT32 CV/CC Controller.
