Atmel’s AT73C500 chipset is a two-chipintegrated solution for energy measurements.The design includes twointegrated circuits, the AT73C500, anadvanced Digital Signal Processor(DSP) and the AT73C501, a high-performanceAnalog-to-digital Converter(ADC). See Figure 1. The converterinputs on the AT73C501 are singleended( i.e. , they have a commonground). For applications where differential-ended inputs are required, substitutethe AT73C501 for an AT73C502.
