The operaTIng voltage (V) of StaTIc LCD COG module is from 3.0V to 5.0V in most situaTIons. To minimize the current consumpTIon, it will be better to operate the module at 3.0V.Currently, the frame frequency (F) of Static LCD COG Module is around 125 Hz, and this frame frequency is generated by the frequency divider and internal oscillator, which is oscillated at around 32 kHz. Below shows the simplified block diagram of the module.
To save power, designer can request LCD factory to add the Module Enable (MEN) pin to the StaticLCD COG Module. The purpose of Module Enable (MEN) pin is to switch on or off the module.By switching off the module when display is not needed, the module shall be in standby mode withstandby current less than 1uA.
