This document provides an overview of the MPC7400 microprocessor features, including a block diagram showing the major functional components. It provides information about how the MPC7400 implementation complies with the PowerPCª architecture deÞnition.AltiVec and the MPC7400The MPC7400 is the Þrst processor to implement the AltiVec instruction set architecture. The portions ofthis document that describe the AltiVec technology are indicated by the icon in the margin.
