SE9016 is a complete constant-current & constant voltage linear charger for single celllithium-ion batteries. Its SOT-23 package and lowexternal component count make SE9016 ideallysuited for portable applicaTIons. Furthermore, theSE9016 is specifically designed to work within USBpower specificaTIon. At the same TIme, SE9016can also be used in the standalone lithium-ionbattery charger.No external sense resistor is needed, and noblocking diode is required due to the internalMOSFET architecture. Thermal feedbackregulates the charge current to limit the dietemperature during high power operaTIon or highambient temperature. The charge voltage is fixedat 4.2V, and the charge current can be programmedexternally with a single resistor. The SE9016automatically terminates the charge cycle when thecharge current drops to 1/10th the programmed value after the final float voltage is reached.
