The LM3409/09HV are P-channel MosFET (PFET) controllersfor step-down (buck) current regulators. They offerwide input voltage range, high-side differenTIal current sensewith low adjustable threshold voltage, fast output enable/disablefuncTIon and a thermally enhanced eMSOP-10 package.These features combine to make the LM3409/09HV ideal foruse as constant current sources for driving LEDs where forwardcurrents up to 5A are easily achievable. TheLM3409/09HV uses Constant Off-TIme (COFT) control toregulate an accurate constant current without the need forexternal control loop compensaTIon. Analog and PWM dimmingare easy to implement and result in a highly lineardimming range with excellent achievable contrast ratios. ProgrammableUVLO, low-power shutdown, and thermal shutdowncomplete the feature set.
