Low cost monolithic accelerometers may be paired witha circuit whose output changes with frequency (V/F) toprovide a TTL level frequency output. A microprocessorcan be easily programmed to read this signal anddirectly compute the applied acceleration, and the outputof a V/F circuit can be sent down a long transmissionline and still be reliably recovered at the other end.
