The VT5363 opTIcal tracking sensor is a completesolid state tracking engine with no moving parts.This single chip opTIcal mouse sensor providesexcellent control and precision and works on awide range of surfaces.The VT5363 supports 2, 3 or 5 button mousedesigns with a mechanical scroll wheel encoder. Itcontains a dual USB/PS2 interface with automaTIcinterface selecTIon and may be powered directlyfrom the USB or PS2 port. A single 6MHzresonator provides all the clock requirements anda minimum of additional passive components arerequired.An external EEPROM may be used to implementcustomer specific USB configurations (PID, VIDand descriptor string).A specifically designed optical system withintegrated light guide and lens is available. Thishas been optimized for low cost, space savingand ease of mouse manufacture. No kapton tapeis required in the assembly process.
