MP3/USB 2.0 High Speed Switch with NegaTIve Signal Handling and Low Power ShutdownThe Intersil ISL54209 dual SPDT (Single Pole/Double Throw)switch combines low distorTIon audio and accurate USB 2.0high speed data (480Mbps) signal switching in the same lowvoltage device. When operated with a 2.5V to 5.0V singlesupply, this analog switch allows audio signal swings belowground, allowing for the use of a common USB and audioheadphone connector in Personal Media Players and otherportable battery powered devices.The ISL54209 logic control pins are 1.8V compaTIble, whichallows for control via a standard μcontroller.The ISL54209 has an audio enable control pin to open allswitches and put the part in a low power state. In this state,the device draws typically 1nA of current.The ISL54209 is available in a small 10 Ld 2.1mmx1.6mmultra-thin μTQFN package and a 10 Ld 3mmx3mm TDFNpackage.
