The Primarion PX3539 VR11 4-phase Digital PWM Controllerprovides core power for today’s high current microprocessorsby driving up to four synchronous-recTIfied buck-converterchannels in parallel. Interleaved TIming of the channels resultsin a higher ripple frequency, reducing input and output ripple.With up to four phases, each capable of up to 2 MHzoperaTIon, the PX3539 can be used to build DC-DCconverters that provide up to 130A with excellent efficiency,low ripple, and the lowest component count.The PX3539 uTIlizes digital technology to implement all controlfunctions, providing the ultimate in flexibility and stability. ThePX3539 incorporates an industry standard I2C-bus serialinterface for control and monitoring. Through the serialinterface, the power supply designer can quickly optimizedesigns and monitor system performance. The interfaceallows the PX3539 to provide digitized information for realtime system monitoring and control.The PX3539 provides superior loadline accuracy throughinternal calibration that measures and corrects current senseerror sources upon startup. The PX3539 has programmablecurrent sense temperature compensation that allows thedesigner to tailor the response for best loadline accuracy overtemperature. Superior loadline accuracy reduces componentcount and solution cost.
