The DAC16 is a 16-bit high speed current-output digital-toanalogconverter with a settling TIme of 500 ns. A unique combinaTIonof low distorTIon, high signal-to-noise raTIo, and highspeed make the DAC16 ideally suited to performing waveformsynthesis and modulation in communications, instrumentation,and ATE systems. Input reference current is buffered, with fullscaleoutput current of 5 mA. The 16-bit parallel digital inputbus is TTL/CMOS compatible. Operating from +5 V and–15 V supplies, the DAC16 consumes 190 mW (typ) and isavailable in a 24-lead epoxy DIP, epoxy surface-mount smalloutline (SOL), and in die form.
