The A706 is a high voltage Boost driver with 6 channelsadjustable constant current regulators for notebook LEDbacklight applicaTIons. Six regulated current ports aredesigned to provide uniform and pure DC constant currentsinks for driving LEDs within a large range VF variaTIons. Itcan drive a number of LEDs in series/parallel configuraTIonUsers may adjust the output current from 5mA to 40mAthrough an external resistor, RSET, which gives usersflexibility in controlling the light intensity of LEDs. It alsocould adjust LED brightness from 0% to 100% via enable pin(EN) with Pulse Width ModulaTIon signal.A feedback circuit is built in the between of BoostDriver and the Current Regulators. It could output the lowestdropout voltage among used channels to Boost Driver inorder to maintain the output voltage in optimal level.The thermal protection function protects IC from overtemperature (160°C). Also, the thermal pad enhances the package power dissipation.
