The FM3130 integrates a real-TIme clock (RTC) andFRAM nonvolaTIle memory. The device operatesfrom 2.7 to 3.6V.The FM3130 provides nonvolaTIle FRAM whichfeatures fast write speed and unlimited endurance.This allows the memory to serve as extra RAM forthe system microcontroller or convenTIonalnonvolatile storage. This memory is truly nonvolatilerather than battery backed.The real-time clock (RTC) provides time and dateinformation in BCD format. It can be permanentlypowered from external backup voltage source, eithera battery or a capacitor. The timekeeper uses acommon external 32.768 kHz crystal and provides acalibration mode that allows software adjustment oftimekeeping accuracy.
